Tours

Daily Wednesday through Sunday

With paid admission, join us daily for free Highlight Tours of the stained glass and clock galleries. Tours leave daily from the lobby at 1 pm Wednesday through Sunday. Tours last approximately one hour in duration.
 

There will be no Highlight Tour July, 25th.

Photography Policy

We welcome photography within the museum for personal, non-commercial use only.  Cell phone photography is encouranged, but please turn off the flash. We hope you share, tweet, and post your images on social media. And, don't forget to tag us: @halimmuseum.

The following rules apply:

  • Flash photography, cameras with a detachable lens, video cameras, and tripods are not permitted.
  • All media inquiries should be directed to Emily Charles, Guest Services Manager, at emily@halimmuseum.org.
  • Commercial photography, photography with a zoom-lens camera, and video is subject to licensed agreement and must be approved and arranged through the Guest Services Manager. Any unlicensed commercial use is strictly prohibited. For more information, please email info@halimmuseum.org.

By bus: The following CTA bus lines are within a block or two of the museum 99, 201, 205, 206, 208, 213, 250, 422


    Parking

    • Free visitor parking is available in the King Home (1555 Oak Ave) designated Visitor Parking area, directly across the street from the museum.
      Turn into the alley just north of the building.

    • Street parking is available on Oak Ave and surrounding streets.
    • Public parking garages are available within walking distance to the museum.

    Accessibility

    • Accessible parking is available in the rear of the building.  This small parking lot is accessed via the ally between Oak Avenue and Ridge Avenue.  
    • An access ramp is located at the rear of the building.  Follow the posted signs if entering from Oak Avenue.
    • Elevator access is available to all levels of the museum.
    • Accessible restroom facilities are located on the lower level.
    • A wheelchair is available for loan.  Please inquire at our reception desk on the first floor.
    • Our Guest Services Team can assist with any additional needs.
